Animal Research Ethics

Jurnal Ternak – Universitas Islam Lamongan (UNISLA) is committed to promoting ethical standards and animal welfare in all research involving animals. All submitted manuscripts must comply with applicable national regulations and internationally recognized guidelines for the ethical treatment and responsible use of animals in scientific research.

Ethical Approval

Research involving live animals must obtain approval from an authorized Animal Research Ethics Committee or equivalent institutional body when required. Authors must provide information regarding ethical approval, including the committee's name and approval number, where applicable. If ethical approval was not required, authors must provide an appropriate justification.

Animal Welfare

All animal experiments must follow the principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) to minimize animal use, pain, stress, and suffering. Researchers must ensure appropriate animal housing, feeding, handling, veterinary care, and humane experimental procedures.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all animal research procedures comply with relevant ethical standards. Manuscripts should clearly describe the animal species, experimental procedures, welfare considerations, and ethical approval status. The journal encourages compliance with the ARRIVE guidelines for reporting animal experiments.
